Fog effect: 2 Delhi flights cancelled

Mohali: Dense fog led to the cancellation of two Delhi flights and delayed another by over six hours on Sunday.

The two flights cancelled were of GoAir and IndiGo with scheduled departures of 6.15am and 7.30am.

Passengers who reached Chandigarh international airport at 6am to board the early morning flight to Delhi said they had to suffer due to bad weather and poor visibility. Gurkanwal Singh, and Brigadier G S Waraich (retd), said, “We had to get our tickets cancelled after learning that the flight is delayed by six hours. As we had urgent work at Delhi, we had to take a private taxi. We do not understand that why this international airport is equipped with CAT-III-ILS, when it is much required.”
