Air Customs officials seize gold worth Rs 50 lakh at Kannur Intl Airport, one held

Kannur: Air Customs sleuths on Monday seized 973 grams of gold valued around Rs 50 lakh from a passenger who arrived at Kannur International Airport from Dubai in an Air India flight. 

 Customs Joint Commissioner S Kishore-led team detained Sidhik of Kasaragod district in this connection. The seized gold was in the compound form and was concealed in his underwear, Customs Superintendent N Raju said.
