Logistics firm Xpressbees partners with SpiceJet for vaccine delivery

Bengaluru: E-commerce focused logistics firm Xpressbees said it has partnered with SpiceJet airline to deliver vaccines beyond the metros. SpiceJet, one of the largest airlines moving vaccines, has a network across 54 airports in the country and now Xpressbees will take care of mid-mile transportation once they are picked from the airport.

Xpressbees, which closed a $110 million financing in November last year, delivers goods in around 16,000 pin codes across 2,200 cities.

During the lockdown, we ensured that essentials and medical supplies reached consumers across India as uninterrupted as possible. Along with our partners, SpiceJet, we are determined to ensure that the vaccines reach the farthest corners of India – quickly and safely,” said Amitava Saha, CEO, Xpressbees.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be launching the first phase of vaccination drive in India from January 16th starting with healthcare workers and frontline workers.
