Bengaluru: The city airport will be half closed for Aero India show. Its commercial flight operations till February will be suspended for rehearsal and the main show.
In order to ensure safety and pave the way for the success of the event, the city Airport would partially close commercial flight operations and standby as the diversionary airport for flying display during the days of practice and the main show, Bengaluru International Airport Ltd said in a statement.
BIAL is working with airlines and IAF to ensure that minimal disruption is done to the existing schedule during the reduced operating hours, the statement added. The BIAL and respective airlines would share communication on the change in airport operations and the revised flight timings during the Aero India show to avoid passenger inconvenience.
