Custom department caught Dubai smugglers,3 kg gold seized

Lucknow: On Sunday, the Customs Department at Choudhary Charan Singh International Airport in the capital of Uttar Pradesh got big success. At the Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport, gold worth nearly Rs 1.5 crore has been recovered from four people who came from Dubai. Around 3 kg of gold has been recovered during the customs department's checking.

The smugglers kept the gold as a paste and hid it in the belt area of their underwear. Smugglers got caught with the vigilance of the Customs Department. Custom deputy commissioner Niharika Lakha said that four passengers who had arrived in Lucknow from Dubai via aircraft number FX 8325, SG 138, and AI (Air India) aircraft number AI 1930 recovered a total of 3 kg of gold during the search of the Customs Department. The total value of the recovered gold is 1 crore 49 lakh 10 thousand rupees. The four passengers were bringing gold stitched to the inside of the belt area of their underwear.

Custom Deputy Commissioner Niharika has told that these people were wearing two underwear inside jeans to cheat the officials. On suspicion, customs officials conducted intensive checking of passengers and recovered gold. At present, the Customs Department has produced the accused in the CMJ Court and further action is being taken.
