Kannur: Air Customs sleuths on Saturday seized 716 grams of gold valued around Rs 35.65 lakh from a passenger who arrived at Kannur International Airport from Dubai in an Air India flight.
Customs Joint Commissioner S Kishore-led team detained Abbobacker of Kasaragod district in this connection.
The seized gold was in the compound form and was concealed in his underwear, sources said.
