The Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) is all set to resume its domestic flight operations on Terminal 1 (T1) from March 10. Five domestic carriers will be operating 102 flights from the terminal across 27 destinations.

“For the kind attention of Domestic passengers flying to and from Mumbai! CSMIA will be re-opening Terminal 1 from March 10th 2021,” CSMIA wrote on their official Twitter handle.

Due to the COVID-19 lockdown, flight services from T1 which caters to domestic passengers, were suspended since March 2020.

“The resumption of services from T1 will help maintain social distancing measures, uphold passenger safety, and ensure a seamless transit,” Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) said in a statement on Monday (March 8).

To avoid crowding at the airport, there will be 38 check-in counters operational across the five domestic carriers.

“There are (COVID-19 RT-PCR) testing facilities at Terminal 1- arrivals and departures both. They are located at departures near Gate 1 and at arrivals it is located near belt 5,” CSMIA said in a statement.
