11 flights cancelled on 5 sectors on April 25 at Nagpur airport

A large number of flights are being cancelled daily by airlines citing operational reasons at the Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport. On Sunday (April 25), two domestic airlines Indigo and Go Air had cancelled 11 flights on 5 sectors namely Ngp-Goa, Ngp-Bangaluru, Ngp-Kolkata, Ngp-Pune and Ngp-Chennai. On an daily average about 8 to 10 flights on different routes are being cancelled by the major airlines, said top officials of MIHAN India Limited (MIL).

 After imposition of second wave lockdowns and quarantine rules due to the surge of COVID-19 cases the number of flight cancellations has escalated at Nagpur airport. People are in a state of panic and temporarily avoiding air travel due to the rise of COVID cases, said sources in the market.
