India received the second batch of Sputnik V vaccine at the RGI, Hyderabad airport

New Delhi: The second batch of Russian vaccine Sputnik V arrives in India at the RGI airport, Hyderabad today. Proper arrangements for storing and transferring and preserving the vaccines in a safe space have been already made before the cargo arrives. The vaccine was received by a flight cum air cargo which has now landed and the shifting process shall begin shortly. Firstly, the Dr Reddy cargo of vaccine doses will be unloaded and stored in the Vaccine zone in the cargo which will, later on, be shifted into containers as it gets packed to be handed over to the Centre. When tested for accuracy in the Moscow laboratory, it was discovered that this vaccine has a 91.4% efficacy. The first consignment of the Sputnik V was received on May 1st and today the second consignment has also been received, the vaccines will be delivered t the Centre at the earliest so that the distribution and vaccination drive can continue to run smoothly.
