SpiceJet turboprop returns to Gwalior safely after cabin pressurisation snag

New Delhi: A SpiceJet Q400 turboprop on Saturday returned to Gwalior safely after taking off for Hyderabad when the pilots got a warning signal that the plane's fuselage door may not have been closed properly and the aircraft was not pressurising properly. The aircraft made a safe landing at Gwalior upon return.

“SpiceJet Q400 aircraft (VT-SQC) operating as SG-3736 (Gwalior-Hyderabad) had an air turnback due to lack of cabin pressurisation. During initial climb, master warning light along with fuselage door warning light illuminated, and the aircraft was not pressurising. The pilots carried out ‘non normal checklist actions’ and retuned to Gwalior safely,” said sources.
