Agartala: Having connected Guwahati and Kolkata with Shillong and Pasighat (Arunachal Pradesh), Indore-based regional airlines Flybig is all set to start operations from Agartala, next week.
The airline conducted a successful trial run at MBB airport on Wednesday, while the Airport Authority Of India allocated space and amenities for them. Flybig will run a pair of 72-seater ATR flights on the Guwahati-Agartala-Dibrugarh route every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Their maiden flight for Agartala is scheduled to take off from Guwahati on June 23 at 10:35 am and will take an hour to complete.
Currently, only Air India and Indigo has been operating from Agartala, connecting Guwahati, Kolkata and Delhi.
