Khajuraho needs more flights, Scindia has promised Spicejet: BJP MP

New Delhi: Madhya Pradesh BJP state president and Lok Sabha MP Vishnu Datt Sharma on Tuesday said that Union civil aviation minister Jyotiraditya Scindia has promised a new flight service for Khajuraho that houses a UNESCO world heritage site comprising a group of monuments that continues to draw a posse of tourists from the West.

Sharma, who is in Delhi to attend the monsoon session of the Parliament , said that Khajuraho desperately needs flight connectivity to culturally-strong cities in India.

“Prime Minister has already put a thrust on development in and around Bundelkhand. Khajuraho has already been chosen among eight cities to have a flying training academy. So next demand was to have a flight connectivity. I met new Union civil aviation minister Jyotiraditya Scindia who has assured to have Spicejet service by October from Khajuraho to Delhi. These are two big and welcome moves, “Sharma said.
