Most states go slow in allotting land for airport projects, Andhra Pradesh stand out

New Delhi: Most state governments have been slow in allotting required lands for airport projects which could lead to time and cost overruns.

Andhra Pradesh, however, stood out on the list with the state government handing over almost all the required land for both Tirupathi and Vijayawada airports.

As per data compiled by the Ministry of Civil Aviation, states such as Assam, Bihar, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Karnataka and Madhya Pradesh could not provide land as projected by public sector Airports Authority of India (AAI).
