Boeing components to be made by Hyderabad firm

Hyderabad: Raghu Vamsi Machine Tools Pvt Ltd has bagged a contract from Boeing to manufacture and supply precision components. The Hyderabad player manufactures critical parts and sub-assemblies for commercial airplanes, defence and space systems for foreign and domestic original equipment manufacturers (OEMs).

As part of the tie-up, Raghu Vamsi will invest $15 million in setting up a dedicated facility at Adibatla near the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport to cater to Boeing’s requirements. The facility will create over 300 jobs over the next three years, Raghu Vamsi said on Monday while announcing the tie-up.

Boeing India director, supply chain management, Ashwani Bhargava termed the tie-up as an important step in Boeing’s commitment to the Atmanirbhar Bharat vision. “As a company with over seven decades of presence in India, Boeing is focused on supporting the development of aerospace and defence capabilities in India,” Bhargava added.

This is a significant milestone not just for Raghu Vamsi, but for Telangana as well. The contract is a testimony to our precision manufacturing, consistent delivery and first-time quality,” said Vamsi Vikas Ganesula, managing director, Raghu Vamsi.

The Hyderabad-based company already has four manufacturing units across Hyderabad, catering to joint ventures with inter national companies.
