KTF operative arrested at Delhi airport

Moga: The Moga police have arrested Khalistan Tiger Force (KTF) operative from Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi, while he was trying to flee to Canada on a student visa.

The accused has been identified as Baldeep Singh, who is wanted in numerous criminal cases.

Moga Senior Superintendent of Police Dhruman H Nimbale said, “Baldeep’s brother Arshdeep Singh Daala is a dreaded terrorist and operates from Canada.”

It’s learnt that the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has approached the Interpol to deport Arshdeep from Canada. At least, 11 cases of murder, attempt to murder, unlawful activities and many other cases, were pending against him.

Baldeep’s interogation led to recovery of weapons and ammunition from India-Pakistan border, including three .30 bore pistols, one .9 mm pistol, four magazines and a few cartridges. These weapons were kept in a bag along the International Border, said Nimbale.

The Senior Superintendent of Police said, “Arshdeep extorted money by threatening several traders in Moga and in adjoining areas.”

This gang killed son of a showroom owner in Moga, murdered a Dera Sacha Sauda follower at Dayalpura (Bathinda) and killed gangster Sukha Lamma. They were also said to be involved in murderous attack on a temple priest in Phillaur.
