UAE residents flying to Abu Dhabi from India to quarantine at home for 12 days

New Delhi: tihad Airways has said that residents of the United Arab Emirates flying to Abu Dhabi from India will have to quarantine at home for 12 days.

After arriving in Abu Dhabi, people also have to wear a medically-approved wristband for the duration of the quarantine and it is mandatory, reported Khaleej Times.

The wristband in question will be provided after immigration clearance by the Abu Dhabi airport authorities. A PCR test is mandatory on the sixth and the eleventh days after arrival.

Meanwhile Emirates, the largest airline and the flag carrier of the UAE, said in a post on Twitter, "Dubai residence visa holders can travel as long as they present a printout of GDRFA approval, a negative PCR test taken within 48 hours of departure and a negative Rapid PCR test taken 04 hours prior to travel."
