Adani Group Logo Removed From Airport Hoardings

Ahmedabad: The logo of Adani group company has been removed from more than 50 hoardings at Sardar Vallabhbhai International Airport. The change was made during the intervening night of Sunday and Monday, sources told Mirror.

The changes have been made in the hoardings in the parking area outside the airport terminal, canteen, taxi service area, autorickshaw stand, food court, trolley stand and terminal board. Now these hoardings only bear the Airports Authority of India (AAI) logo. Since the administration of Ahmedabad Airport was handed over to Adani Ahmedabad International Airport Limited (AAIAL), the company had initiated a few changes regarding cleaning of the airport terminals to the movement of airport staff.

Along with that, the company had changed several hoardings and signboards at various locations within the airport premises to mention its name.

It must be mentioned here that in January, three committees of the Centre-run Airports Authority of India (AAI) in January found the group to be in violation of branding norms, prescribed in the concession agreements, at the airports in Ahmedabad, Mangaluru and Lucknow that the conglomerate took over last year.

Consequently, the group’s companies -- which are operating these three airports – had begun making changes in brandings and displays in order to bring them in accordance with the concession agreements that they had signed with the AAI, as per media reports. Calls made and messages sent by Mirror to media spokesperson of Adani Airports did not elicit any response.
