Agra to be connected to multiple cities by air this month

Agra: Following the tourism industry's repeated submissions of memorandums to officials appealing for the start of air travel, work has begun to expand flying capabilities from Agra to various locations.

While the Agra-Lucknow flight is slated to begin on September 15, a daily Ahmedabad-Nagpur flight service from Agra could begin on October 2. The flight's schedule has also been posted by Indigo Air Lines.

Vishal Sharma, Secretary of the Agra Tourist Welfare Chamber, stated that after gradually resuming flights that were suspended due to Covid-19, preparations are underway to resume flight service to other metropolises. The flight from Delhi to Gwalior may also make a stop in Agra.

Kheria Airport director A Ansari said that there is every chance that the Agra-Lucknow air service will begin on September 15. Indigo has also written to the Airport Authority of India in this regard.

Meanwhile, the Ahmedabad flight has been extended till Nagpur.

It has also been confirmed that on Wednesdays and Fridays, this flight will depart Ahmedabad for Agra at 10:10 am and return to Ahmedabad at 10:30 am. After a brief stay in Ahmedabad, the flight will depart for Nagpur, where it will operate daily beginning October 2.
