SpiceJet launched a new service between Tirupati and Delhi from Sunday

Tirupati: SpiceJet has started a new service between Tirupati and Delhi via Hyderabad from Sunday that runs thrice a week. This new service takes the total flights from the pilgrimage city to the national capital to four with SpiceJet operating two while Air India and IndiGo operate the other two.

the number of aircraft movements from Tirupati increased from 278 in August 2020 to 752 in different parts of the country in August 2021. Tirupati airport director S Suresh informed that flight movement and passenger numbers are gradually approaching the pre-covid period which is a welcome sign. During the first two quarters of the current year, flight movement from Tirupati has increased from 1,229 between April and June to 1,914 between July and September.

The number of passengers has increased from 61,250 to 1,53,353 between the two quarters. Some more domestic services connecting Tirupati with Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam, Madurai etc. are also under active consideration of flight operators. Flights are currently being operated to Belgaum, Hubli, Gulbarga, Mumbai and Pune. He said that the flights to Hyderabad and Delhi are witnessing huge demand.
