DGCA starts online on-demand exams for pilots and flight engineers

New Delhi: The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) will from next month introduce a new “online on-demand examination” (OLODE) for aircraft maintenance engineers (AME) and flight crew (FC) candidates. These will be in addition to the existing regular online examinations.

The first session of the monthly OLODE is initially planned at Delhi which will be extended to other metros subsequently. During this first OLODE session, 720 seats for AMEs and 1,200s seats for FC candidates are being made available on a first come first serve basis, said a senior DGCA official.

“Candidates while applying for OLODE can select date and time to appear as per choice on the available examinations slots. The FC candidates will be able to select technical general papers (air regulations, air navigation, aviation meteorology, air navigation composite) and technical specifications for any particular aircraft of their choice. AME candidates will be able to select modular papers from their respective engineering stream,” the official added.

The examination portal — https://pariksha.dgca.gov.in. — has been opened from October 26 till November 3, 2021, to receive applications from aspiring candidates. The first OLODE session will be held for AME (all categories) from November 9-11, 2021, and for FC candidates (except ATPL category) on November 12 and 15-18 at Delhi.
