Travellers To Dubai Face Tough Time At RT-PCR Counter

Ahmedabad: Passengers travelling to Dubai are facing a tough time at the international airport in Ahmedabad after long queues were seen for RT-PCR tests. As per rules of Dubai government, RT-PCR test six hours before boarding the flight is mandatory in addition to negative report before 48 hours. Passengers are allowed to board the flight only if both tests are negative.

The rush for Dubai has increased due to Expo 2020 Dubai and passengers have to take tests at the airport and pay Rs 2,700 for it. There are long queues at the airport for the tests and social distancing norms are flouted.

At present there are four flights operating from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport to Dubai, including SpiceJet, Indigo, Fly Dubai and Emirates. With passengers of 2-3 flights gathering at the same time created chaos with the travellers crowding to undergo the RT-PCR test.
