Kozhikode: Air Customs Intelligence seized Rs 52 lakh worth gold which was being smuggled via Calicut International Airport. Jameela (36) and Faizal (22), natives of Kasaragod and Kozhikode respectively, were arrested.
Jameela landed in Kozhikode via Gulf Air flight from Dubai and she has hid 556 gram of 24 karat gold and 105 gram 22 karat gold inside the hair bun which is used to tie hair. Faizal landed in Kozhikode by the Doha-Kozhikode flight of Air India Express hiding 559 grams of gold inside his socks.
