Chennai: Customs officials at Coimbatore airport seized gold worth Rs 31.68 lakh from a passenger who arrived here from Sharjah on Sunday in an Air Arabia flight.
Officials said they questioned the passenger on suspicion and found that he had hidden gold paste, covered in polythene bags, in his rectum.
The paste was recovered and processed to get 640 gram of gold.
