Hyderabad: An international air passenger who tried to smuggle foreign origin gold into Hyderabad was arrested by the customs officials at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) on Sunday.
The officials nabbed the male passenger, who hid the gold inside his check-in baggage and seized 248 grams of gold valued at ₹13 lakh.
The accused passenger arrived from Jeddah. A case was registered and investigation is being done. After the officials got suspicion, they searched his bag and found undeclared gold.
