Hyderabad: Man booked for gold smuggling

Hyderabad: Customs sleuths booked a gold smuggling case after intercepting a man who arrived at RGI Airport from Dubai in flight 6E025.

The accused tried to smuggle in 350gm gold worth Rs 18 lakh.

“The gold was in the form of belt buckle. It was coated in white and concealed in checked-in baggage,” said an official. After the gold seizure, police booked the offender under the Customs Act and launched a probe.
