Qatar: Air India Express fully relaxes Covid restraints for vaccinated RP holders

Qatar: The Air India Express has further relaxed the Covid related restrictions for its travellers with immediate effect.

The Resident Permit (RP) holders who are fully vaccinated or have completely recovered from Covid-19 have been exempted from the pre-travel RT-PCR and also quarantine upon arrival, according to a notification issued by the country's Ministry of Public Health.

However, the unvaccinated RP holders travelling from India must produce a pre-travel negative RT-PCR test results taken within 48 hours of departure. This apart, they are supposed to undergo a five-day hotel quarantine and also take a Rapid Antigen test 5 days after arrival.

The ministry has kept the sanctions intact for the visitors on new Visa holders from India. It is mandatory for them to carry an RT-PCR report generated within 48 hours of departure and a one-day hotel quarantine.

The ministry has also made it clear that the unvaccinated visitors from India are not allowed to enter the country.
