Bengaluru: An AirAsia flight from Chennai to Jaipur made an emergency landing at Kempegowda International Airport on Saturday following a technical snag.
There were 173 passengers on the flight, which was scheduled to leave Chennai at 9:05am but departed after a 20-minute delay.
“AirAsia India flight I5-1228, operating from Chennai to Jaipur, diverted to Bengaluru due to a minor technical fault,” said an airline spokesperson.
“The aircraft will go through necessary inspections before being released for operations. AirAsia India arranged another aircraft for the passengers to travel to Jaipur,” the spokesperson added.
