Kolhapur airport rating rises in customer satisfaction survey

Kolhapur: The Kolhapur airport has improved its rating in the second round of the customer satisfaction index (CSI) survey conducted by the Airport Authority of India (AAI) between December 2021 and February 2022.

Of the 61 airports in India, Kolhapur airport has ranked 39th with ratings of 4.55 for this quarter. While the Aurangabad airport is at 38th position with 4.56 ratings on a scale of 5.

Kamal Kumar Kataria, the director of Kolhapur airport said, “ The AAI, through a third-party organisation, conducts a survey routinely on the customer satisfaction index. The survey conducting authority directly interacts with the passengers to get their feedback about their satisfaction with check-in time, luggage checking counter, toilet facilities, car parking, cleanliness, the help provided by the airport officials, food quality at the food counter, etc. The first-time flyers play a vital role in this survey.”

“In the first round conducted last year, Kolhapur had a rating of 2.80, which increased to 4.55 in the second round. The third round is ongoing while the fourth and fifth rounds will be conducted in the later part of the year. We are looking forward to reaching 4.98 similar to Trichy airport,” he said.
