Amid Turbine Fuel Reaching Its Record High Level, The Airfares Continue To Rise In India

Amid turbine fuel reaching its record high level, the airfares continue to rise in India. Sources say that Airlines are swiftly increasing the airfares at a time when ATF or the turbine fuel has reached to record high level. Airlines have increased the airfares by around 30% on busy routes. 

On busy routes Delhi Mumbai, Delhi Chennai, Delhi Kolkata has crossed the average airfares mark of Rs 7000/seat. 

The upcoming festive season may further spike the airfares. 

Airline sources: Steep rise in crude oil prices may continue to hit the ATF prices.
