JDU MLC Dinesh Singh was detained by Income Tax and ED team at Patna airport late Tuesday evening. 25.50 lakh cash has been recovered from them. The counting of money was done under the supervision of Revenue Officer Sujata. He got a total of Rs 25.50 lakh. The team released him after 3 hours of interrogation. Dinesh Singh has been asked to provide information about the money within 10 days. The team has sealed the briefcase full of money. And the team has taken him with them.
Dinesh Singh came out of Patna airport after about 3 hours. Dinesh Singh said that no money has been recovered from them. Income tax and ED team inquired, I cooperated fully.
Dinesh Singh said that he had gone to get his treatment done. He was undergoing treatment at Medanta Hospital. On Tuesday, he was coming from Delhi to Patna on Go Air’s flight number G 8-131. As soon as they reached Patna airport at around 7.15 pm, the Income Tax team stopped them and made them sit in the VVY lounge. After this the checking of his luggage started.
The Income Tax Department team came out of Patna airport after sealing a briefcase. The officials of the Income Tax Department team refused to say anything. The MLC was let off on the promise of giving the account of this money in 10 days.
