Kasargod: A man, resident of Kasargod was arrested at Calicut airport for concealing gold in pencil sharpener and bottles of Tiger Balm. As much as 769 grams of gold was confiscated from the accused.
Mohammed Shabir (28) is the person arrested by the Custom officials in this connection. He used to convert gold as pencil cutter and transport it. In addition, he used to conceal the gold inside Tiger Balm bottles.
Custom officials have confiscated 16 cutter blades from Shabir. He also applied the layer of gold on ladies handbag, cooker and lid of Tiger Balm.
