Pradhaan Air Express Makes First Cargo Flight

Pradhaan Air Express, the new Indian all-cargo airline, recently completed its first commercial flight. The airline recently operated the flight on the DEL-BOM-DEL route using an A320-P2F (Passenger-To-Freighter). It is the first Indian carrier to operate an Airbus A320 narrow-body freighter.

“We are confident of playing our part in the Government's vision of increasing air cargo to 10 million tonne,” the company stated in a Linkedin post.

In July, the all-cargo airline received its No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Ministry of Civil Aviation. Its founder and CEO, Nipun Anand, had also said in July that he would induct a second aircraft before the end of the year.

Leased from Vaayu Group / Astral Aviation, the A320-P2F has a payload of 21 tonne and a fully palletised main deck. The freighter conversion was undertaken by Elbe Flugzeugwerke (EFW), a joint venture of ST Engineering and Airbus, at its facility in Singapore.
