New Delhi: In another pee-gate, a passenger in an inebriated state publicly urinated in front of the departure gate of the Delhi airport, police said on Wednesday
The passenger, identified as Jauhar Ali Khan, was caught urinating at departure gate number 6 of Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport Terminal 3 by the airport staff. The drunk man also allegedly abused other passengers.
According to Delhi police, the incident took place on January 8.
Khan, who was scheduled to board a flight for Dammam from Delhi, was arrested and later released on a bail bond.
The incident came to light amid huge outrage over the Air India urinating incident. Shankar Mishra, a Mumbai-based businessman, had in an intoxicated condition urinated on an elderly woman passenger during an Air India flight from New York to Delhi on November 26, 2022. He was arrested on Saturday and was sent to judicial custody for 14 days.
