Nashik: The schedule of IndiGo flight service from Ozar Airport has been announced starting from March 15. With the launch of this air service, the people of Nashik will get the facility of air travel from many cities of the country including Indore, Kolkata, Chandigarh, Hyderabad. This service will benefit many sectors of the district like industry, agriculture, tourism, religious etc.
Till October last year, Ozer airport was served by three airlines namely SpiceJet, Alliance Air and Star Air to five cities namely New Delhi, Ahmedabad, Pune, Belgaum and Hyderabad. However, both the companies abruptly stopped the service at the end of October, citing the expiry of the ‘Adaan’ scheme, so currently only the ‘SpiceJet’ service operates to New Delhi and Hyderabad. Due to the cooperation of the major organizations of the tourism industry, the ‘Indigo’ company is starting the flight service from Ozar from March 15, for which the bookings have already started.
