Fly from Bengaluru airport to Whitefield and Electronic City; chopper service soon

Bengaluru: Passengers landing at Bengaluru's Kempegowda International Airport will soon be able to reach the IT corridor Whitefield and the Electronic City within minutes. Yes, it's true. An urban air mobility company BLADE will be launching helicopter services between Bengaluru airport and these locations.

The service is expected to benefit people going to the tech centres significantly as they no longer need to spend long hours on the road.

With an aim to make getting into the city easier, BLADE is planning multiple chopper services in future. The company has already launched two services from KIA. In January, BLADE started its service from the Bengaluru airport to Hosur Aerodrome.

The tickets for this route are priced at Rs 6000 per seat and will cover the distance in 20 minutes. By road, the travel from Bengaluru to the industrial hub in Tamil Nadu, Hosur, takes around three hours.

Last year, BLADE launched a chopper service from KIA to Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd Airport in the heart of the city. The service offers five days a week takes people from the airport to HAL in quick 15-minute, thereby avoiding the 2-hour road travel.
