Go First: How Jeh Wadia built an airline and then pressed exit

When Jehangir Wadia, or Jeh, all of 32 years of age, started Go First airline, many thought the rich kid had got himself a shiny new toy. But it was a generational jump quite in order. Nearly three centuries ago, an ancestor of Jeh, Lovji Nusserwanjee Wadia, was building ships for the East India Company and docks in Mumbai. A pioneer shipbuilder's heir starting an airline centuries later must not have surprised anyone. But nearly two decades later, the Wadia Group has lost the airline though the the ship still adorns its logo. Go First has entered bankruptcy proceedings today.
