Mangaluru: All passengers flying through the international airport in the city should be careful about their baggage. If the baggage is left unattended, trained dogs will pick them up and then it will not be returned until and unless the same is checked thoroughly.

In addition to CC cameras and CISF personnel, now the international airport in the city is equipped with talented canines. The airport has four dogs which accompany CISF personnel at terminal, landing, parking and other areas of the airport. Any suspicious objects are checked by the canines.

At present, there are four dogs by the names Max, Ranger, Julie and Goldie. Out of them, Julie is a female dog while others are males. While Max and Ranger are Belgian Malinois breeds, Julie and Goldie are Labradors.

All passengers must ensure that their baggage is not left unattended. If the canine squad dog finds it, the security personnel may consider it suspicious. Moreover, the passenger will be subjected to interrogation too.
