E-ticket fiasco: Air India clarifies

With much ruckus created due to an alleged misprinting of the Airport Ticketing Office (ATO) of Air India at Imphal International Airport as Lamka, Air India on Monday clarified the same stating that it was due to some technical error.

In a join conference held at the Changangei Youths’ Union Club, Changangei, Imphal West on Monday, Station manager of Air India Limited, Imphal, Thokchom Brojen clarified that due to some technical error the address of issuing officer in Air India e-ticket was mentioned as Lamka, Imphal.

He told the media that the address of the issuing officer in e-ticket cannot be changed in the office of Imphal, Guwahati or Kolkata. It seems that there might have been some technical error, he said.

Stating that he was also not aware of ‘Lamka’ in the issuing office address and as the matter was published in some media, he immediately requested the authority concerned to change the right address, he said.

He said the problem has been solved as the authority concerned also reacted immediately as it could lead to misunderstanding among the people.
