Trichy: The customs intelligence unit (CIU) in Trichy seized $18,000 concealed in the shoulder bag and rectum. of a passenger at Trichy international airport on Friday.
Acting on information, CIU officers of Trichy customs checked passengers of the Singapore-bound Air India Express flight on Friday.
The officials became suspicious of a passenger, Abubacker Siddique, 39, who was checking in.
They verified his baggage and found the concealed dollars .
