New Delhi: Star Indian table tennis player Manika Batra sought the help of Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya M. Scindia after claiming that she lost her baggage, including sports equipments, while returning from a tournament in Lima, Peru.
Manika Batra, on Tuesday August 8, expressed her disappointment with the airline, saying she had no answers or solutions from the staff at the airport. Manika said she flew business class and did not expect such service from the airline.
"Unbelievable disappointment with @KLM. ! Priority-tagged baggage lost on a business class flight, including my essential sports kit for an upcoming tournament. Staff at the airport had no answers or any solutions & they had no idea where my bag is. @JM_Scindia sir pls help," Manika Batra said in a tweet.
Manika Batra was in action in a WTT Contender event in Lima, Peru earlier in August. The Indian paddler reached the Round of 32 in the women's singles event.
Manika Batra will be one of India's biggest medal contenders at the Asian Games, especially in mixed doubes along with G Sathiyan. The Indian duo are ranked 7th in the mixed doubles ITTF Rankings.
