Air India Unveils New Logo And Livery As Tata Group Rebrands Airline

Air India on Thursday unveiled the new logo and livery for the airline as part of Tata Group's rebranding plan. The new look of the airline will include a gold window frame instead of the iconic Indian window shape. According to the carrier's statement, the new logo will be called 'The Vista', which draws inspiration from the peak of gold window frame. Air India said that the new brand design system symbolises "window of possibilties".

Along with a new logo, the airline is also set to get a new livery. Its aircraft would now feature a palette of deep red, aubergine, and gold highlights with a chakra-inspired pattern. Air India said, "It also boasts a striking new custom-made ‘Air India Sans’ font, marrying confidence with warmth to position Air India as premium, inclusive, and accessible."

Commenting on the new changes, Air India's CEO Campbell Wilson said they represent the ambition to make Air India a world-class airline. "The new Air India is bold, confident, and vibrant, but also warm and deeply rooted to its rich history and traditions that make Indian hospitality a global benchmark for standards in service.”

The airline informed that the travellers would be able to see the new changes from December 2023, when it inducts new aircraft in its fleet. The rebranding exercise has been done in collaboration with London-based FutureBrand.
