A Bengaluru-bound Indigo flight on Monday received a call regarding the presence of a bomb on the aircraft, airport sources told PTI.
The call was received at nearly 10.30 am, when flight 6E6482 was pushed back to take off from Kochi airport.
They further said all passengers onboard the aircraft were deboarded and the aircraft was moved to an isolation bay for further inspection.
Nedumbassery police also confirmed receipt of the bomb threat and said that a team was sent to investigate the matter.
A team of bomb squad, state police and the security department was called upon.
There were 138 passengers and an infant onboard the flight at the time of the incident.
All were shifted to the security area and a re-screening of baggage was done which was completed by nearly 1 pm.
Nothing suspicious was found.
