Dog’s ‘weird’ mid-air cries rouse panic on Goa flight

Panaji: A resident of Delhi was booked for endangering her fellow passengers’ lives after she allegedly opened a pet carrier mid-flight as her dog began making “weird sounds”.

Mopa police booked the 30-year-old woman under Section 336 of the Indian Penal Code, and the station PI Neenad Deulkar said that she would be called to the police station for investigation. Deulkar said that the woman has been identified as Alisha Adhana.

Deulkar said that the woman and a family member boarded the plane in Delhi. After the aircraft took off, the dog began making weird sounds, and to calm the pet down, she opened the carrier and took him out.

“Looking at a dog in the plane, people began panicking and complained to the crew members of Akasa Air,” said Deulkar, who added that as soon as the flight landed in Goa, Akasa Air’s duty manager Mayak Basarkar filed a police complaint.
