Ambala: Haryana's home and health minister, Anil Vij, emphasized the positive impact of establishing a civil enclave for a domestic airport in Ambala Cantonment under the RCS UDAAN Scheme.
He noted that this development would enhance the city's status, stimulate business growth, and generate employment opportunities.
The construction of the civil enclave is set to commence soon, overseen by the Haryana State Roads and Bridges Development Corporation Limited.
The foundation stone laying ceremony, to be officiated by Haryana chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar, is scheduled for the first day of Navratri on October 15. The project is expected to be completed within six months from the foundation stone laying.
Vij also acknowledged the support from defense minister Rajnath Singh, who sanctioned Rs 133 crores for the acquisition of 20 acres of land, with the funds deposited in the Defense Ministry.
