Police arrested an absconding accused in a 2025 robbery and assault case from Mumbai Airport. Mukesh Kumar, a resident of Mohali, was booked for a long time in a robbery and assault case registered at Sector 14, here, due to which a Look Out Circular (LOC) had been issued against him.
According to reports, the accused was attempting to flee abroad (Thailand) by boarding a flight from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, Mumbai, when he was intercepted and apprehended by the Immigration Department.
Upon receiving the information, a team from Panchkula police arrived in Mumbai and arrested him.
According to the case, the accused, along with his accomplices, assaulted a youth and his friends in Rajiv Colony, here, on January 14, 2025 and took away approximately Rs 1,20,600 and other items.
