A woman travelling to Bengaluru airport has sparked fresh discussion around the city’s traffic woes after revealing that it took her nearly three-and-a-half hours to reach the Kempegowda International airport from Bellandur.
The woman, identified as Sakshi Singh, shared her experience in a now-viral video on Instagram, describing the journey as exhausting and stressful. According to her, she left home at 6 pm but was still stuck in traffic well past 9 pm while trying to make it to her flight.
“Took me 3.5 hours to reach Bangalore airport from Bellandur,” she wrote in the caption. “Left my house at 6 and till 9.30 I was just praying that I make it just in time to drop my baggage.”
She added that traffic came to a complete standstill at several points during the ride, making the situation even more frustrating. In a twist many Bengaluru flyers found painfully relatable, Singh said her delayed IndiGo flight ultimately saved the day. “Luckily Indigo flight got delayed, Indigo is such a saviour at times,” she joked.
The post quickly struck a chord online, especially among commuters familiar with Bengaluru’s peak-hour gridlocks and the long journey to Kempegowda International Airport. Singh also warned travellers to keep extra buffer time while heading to the airport, particularly during rainy evenings when traffic tends to worsen dramatically.
