Passengers on a flight were seen raising slogans like “Jai Shri Ram," “Jai Durga," “Bharat Mata Ki Jai," and “Jai Bangla" in a video that is now being widely discussed online. The clip reportedly surfaced after news related to the West Bengal Assembly Elections 2026 results emerged. However, the exact flight details and location have not been confirmed.
The reactions online have been divided, with many people debating whether such celebrations are appropriate inside a commercial flight. Several users also questioned airline rules and passenger behaviour during flights.
According to posts shared online, the incident reportedly happened soon after the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) secured victory in the West Bengal Assembly elections.
In the clip shared on X (formerly Twitter), a man can be seen recording himself while loudly chanting slogans including “Jai Shri Ram," “Har Har Mahadev," “Jai Durga," “Jai Bangla," and “Bharat Mata Ki Jai." Other passengers seated around him were also heard repeating the slogans.
The video appears to have been recorded inside an IndiGo flight. The person who shared the video criticised the behaviour and wrote, “Posting visuals of such boorish behaviour in public with no care for the comfort of others around has been normalised now. Obnoxious is the mildest word to describe this Indian."
The clip quickly led to strong reactions online, especially from users who felt such behaviour should not happen during a commercial flight.
