SAS says working closely with Indian govt to commence flights

Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) is working closely with Indian government to commence operations to India, the airline has said.

SAS’s relaunch flight from Copenhagen to Mumbai was forced to turn back on Tuesday as it did not have necessary regulatory clearance.

In a new statement the airline said it is fully committed to operating in compliance with all applicable requirements.

“We appreciate the constructive dialogue and ongoing efforts of the DGCA and the relevant authorities throughout this process,” the airline said.

“India is an important market for SAS, and we remain fully committed to the Copenhagen–Mumbai service and successfully connecting the Scandinavian and Indian regions with seamless options strengthening the economic and cultural ties between our nations,” the airline added.
