Interglobe seeks $2 mn from Air Deccan

New Delhi: After the high-profile legal tussle between Jet and Sahara, now Delhi-based technology company — and owner of IndiGo Airlines — Interglobe Technologies and Air Deccan are locked in a legal battle over use of airline passenger reservation system.
The low-cost carrier migrated to a new reservation system in February this year, terminating a five-year contract agreement with Interglobe Technologies for use of a reservation system, citing deficiency of service.
Now the dispute has landed up with a three-member arbitration panel involving legal luminaries — Justices KT Thomas, BN Srikrishna and BP Saraf — hearing out the claims and counter-claims of both the parties. Sources in legal fraternity said Interglobe Technologies has claimed non-payment of dues from Air Deccan to the tune of up to $2 million, while the Bangalore-based carrier is planning to seek compensation for loss of business.
