DGCA suspends five Air Pegasus pilots

New Delhi: Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has suspended five pilots and removed the chief of air safety of regional airline Air Pegasus for safety violations observed during its April audit.

“High rate of aircraft descent was observed on multiple instances which the airline didn't report to us,” a senior DGCA official said. DGCA had conducted a safety audit on 27-29 April. The safety violations were related to the airline's flight on the Bangalore-Trivandrum route. The pilots have been suspended for at most three months, the official added.
